Greek salad

  0,5 pound feta cheese
  3-4 tomatoes
  1 cucumber
  1 sweet pepper
  1 red onion
  0,2 pounds olives
  0,3 pounds salad leaves
  1/2 lemon, juiced
  3 tbsp olive oil
  0,25 tsp salt
  0,25 tsp pepper
  fresh basil to taste


  Wash and drain the salad leaves, chop into large pieces if desired. Transfer to a salad bowl on individual serving plates.
  Wash and cube the cucumber and tomatoes, peel the onion and chop into thin semicircles, peel and thinly slice the sweet pepper. Drain the olives if necessary. Mix the vegetables and transfer on top of the salad leaves.
  In a separate small bowl mix the olive oil and lemon juice, salt and pepper. Pour the mixture over the salad.
  Cube the feta cheese if necessary, and put in on top of the salad. Garnish with basil leaves.
