Gingerbread cookies

  4,4 oz butter
  0,5 cup sugar
  0,3 cup molasses
  1,5 tsp ground cinnamon
  1 tsp ground cloves
  1 tsp ground ginger
  1 tsp cardamon
  1 egg
  2,25-2,5 cup all-purpose flour
  1 tsp baking soda


  In a medium heat melt the butter, add sugar and spices. Bring to boil.
  Cool the mixture and add an egg and flour mixed with soda. Mix until smooth, But do not overmix.
  Let stand in the fridge overnight.
  On a floured work surface roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Bake in batches at 350F until golden, approx. 15 minutes. Decorate as desired.
