Brussels sprouts with bacon

Ingredients
8 oz bacon
2 lbs brussels sprouts
0,5 cup heavy cream
0,25 cups marple syrup
1 tsp salt
0,25 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Trim and halve the brussels sprouts, cutting off the hard stems.
Heat a large skillet over a medium heat. Cook bacon until crispy, about 8 minutes. Remove the bacon and put it on a kitchen towel to remove the excess fat.
In the same pan, pour out all but 3 tbsp of the fat. Add brussels sprouts and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour the cream, and cook for 3 minutes, or until the cream is reduced by half. Stir in cooked bacon, maple syrup, salt and pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes, until the brussels sprouts are tender and the sauce has thickened.
