Bean and pasta salad

  1 pound whole-wheat pasta
  1 pound green beans, fresh or frozen
  0,5 pound frozen peas
  3 large garlic cloves
  4 tbsp olive oil
  2 tsp lemon juice
  bunch of cilantro
  salt and pepper


  Peel the garlic and mince finely. In a small pan heat the olive oil and fry the garlic on medium heat, stirring frequently, until golden. Make sure not the burn! Remove from heat.
  If using fresh green beans, trim and cut into approx. 1-inch-long pieces. In a large pot bring about 0,5 gallon water to boil. Add salt and pasta, cook for approx. 5 minutes. Add beans, bring back to boil and cook for another 5 minutes. Add frozen peas, bring back to boil and cook for another 1 minute, or until the pasta is done. Drain and let cool.
  Transfer the pasta and bean mixture to a large bowl. Add garlic and oil, pepper, lemon juice and minced cilantro. Mix to combine, serve warm or cold.
